The ten rules of the Enterprising Business Person

  1. Use all available public resources. Be informed and request all the support you can, even if you think your project won’t be approved.
  2. Not everything has been invented. The best ideas are those that no one else has noticed before. Times of crisis are times of opportunities.
  3. Don’t jump the gun in putting together your team, especially in reference to partners. Friends and ability do not always go hand in hand.
  4. Don’t wait to put your business in gear, especially if your business is linked to information.
  5. The idea is only 10% of the project. The rest is in the execution.
  6. Your idea is not a secret. Tell everyone about it in order to enrich it but at the same time have prepared a plan of execution.
  7. Without a financial plan, there is no future.
  8. Treat your client as if they were your best friend.
  9. Be rigorous with expenses
  10. The world is your market.
